Power of Making
This V&A Channel film delves into the working lives of four makers: shoe designer Marloes ten Bhömer; crochetdermist Shauna Richardson; artist, curator and glass designer Matt Durran; and flute-maker Stephen Wessel. We uncovered processes of thought and making that are as fascinating, complex and contemporary as the exhibition itself.

I photographed Shauna at her studio on the outskirts of Leicester. The studio is in a very ordinary business park. However, as you will see, what goes on inside is completely extraordinary. The photography was to record the finalists for the Balvenie Masters of Craft competition which highlights the leading crafts people in the UK.
